When it comes to Fertility and IVF- Doing More Isn't Always Better

“It's not about following every piece of advice out there; it's about discerning what aligns with your needs. The key to success is doing what feels achievable and treating what we know will work for you.”

Are you struggling to conceive or preparing for your IVF journey? I know from my own experience and that of the thousands of people I’ve supported as fertility/IVF Naturopath that it's a journey filled with a mix of emotions, from excitement to uncertainty. Today, I want to share some valuable insights that will empower you to embrace your story right now with confidence and self-compassion. This info is really close to my heart and I hope that it helps you today.

One of the biggest challenges I see with the people I work with is fear. Fear of not doing enough and fear of not getting things “right” so that they can get pregnant. Many patients think that taking more supplements, cutting out food groups, taking on a structured/specific exercise regime and trying every fertility tip out there is what they need to do try and make sure they’re doing enough to try and help them get pregnant.

However, I know that also with these fears, there is also hope. Hope for the dear little baby you’re dreaming of.

But, I want to remind you that what’s really important througout all of this is also your own well-being. So I don’t want anything that you do, take or follow, to be at the detrminent of well being by it placing too much pressure on you.

As a Fertility Naturopath, I understand that every single person’s fertility puzzle is uniqe. And with that, not 2 fertility treatments or approaches are going to be exactly the same either. That’s why my targeted and focused approach creates such beautiful results.

It’s not about following every piece of advice that’s out there, it’s about chosing what aligns what you need. The key to success is doing what feels achievalble and treating what we know will try and help you.

Taking care of your body, diet, lifestyle and health is important for fertility. But equally important is taking care of your mental and emotional wellbeing. Stress and pressure can absolutely be counterproductive, affecting not only your hormone balance and fertility but the way you feel as you go through all of this.

My own IVF journey taught me the power of self compassion. I chose to take fewer supplements and focused on a very tailored plan to both mine and my husband’s needs. And this approach might work wonders for you too.

At the core of my practice as a Fertility and IVF Naturopath is the belief that your fertility story is one of a kind. Im here to guide you, support you and empower you to make the decisions that resonate with your mind, your body and your lifestyle.

Together, we’ll create a personalised plan, tapping into the magic of being targeted and being specific. But also feeling supported and cared for. Whether it’s optimising your diet, taking your herbal formula, embracing low- tox living or enhancing some parameters on blood tests. My focus is what works best for you.

And as you embark on this beautiful and wild rollercoaster of trying to bring your baby into the world please know you’re not alone. I am here to support you every step of the way.
